Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU) is a linear polymer obtained by polyaddition of long-chain diols, dibasic isocyanates, and small molecule diols/amine chain extenders. The long-chain dihydric alcohol constitutes the soft segment, the small molecule chain extender and the dibasic isocyanate constitute the hard segment, forming a microphase separation structure, so that it has good physical properties; and by adjusting the ratio between the soft and hard segment, we could make the Products with a hardness in the range of 50A-85D.
The physical properties and good processability of TPU make it widely used in common fields such as pipes and cables, leather, films, hot melt adhesives; TPU materials are suitable for all common processing methods for thermoplastic materials such as extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, casting, rolling etc.; and its solvent-free and easy recycling processing characteristics make it more and more widely used in today's increasingly stringent environmental protection requirements.
